Problem: How can I export my patient data so that I can give it to another company to tie into a lab system?

Solution: Face Sheet and Demographics Export to Excel

There is a report in clinic Pro that allows you to create a face sheet if you want to refer your patient to another doctor. This same report allows you to export demographic information for all of your patients. It includes the patient information including their insurance coverage and contract numbers.

1. To access this report, click Reports, Patient, Patient Referral Report.
2. To create just one report, click the Selected radio button and choose your patient.
3. Then you can send the report to your printer as part of the referral to another doctor. We call it a patient referral report but some offices know it as a face sheet.

However, you can also send this report to an Excel file. If you leave the radio button set to all patients, you can create an Excel spreadsheet with demographic information for all of your patients. This is useful for exporting demographic information to connect to a lab system or script writing program. It has also been used to create a mailing list for holiday greeting cards if you want to have a mailing house create your mailing piece and print the patient's address right on the piece.
