Steps:

1.      Click System, System Parameters Maintenance

2.      Click the System Settings tab

3.      Make sure the box next to System Generated is un-checked

4.      Click OK

5.      Go into Manage Patients

6.      Select the patient you wish to change the patient number for

7.      Click on the Patient Detail tab

8.      Enter in the new patient number, then hit Save .

9.      When finished, repeat steps 1 & 2

10.   Check the box next to System Generated IF you had to un-check it

11.   Click OK
