Error: 'Cannot find c:\vcpro\sysparam…’   occuring on a workstation machine

Solution:

Option 1:   Check network connections:

1.      Double-click on My Computer

2.      Look for an icon that says  'C on Server' or that has an f: , g:, h:, etc… in brackets [ ] (If one doesn’t exist, skip to Option 2 below)

3.      Check to see if this icon has a little red X on it

4.      If there is, Double-click the icon:

A.      If you do not get an error message, and you see files and folders, try opening ClinicPro now. (If you still get sysparam error message, skip to Option 3 below)     

B.      If you get an error message, check the physical connections from the computer to the network. Then Repeat steps 1-4.

 

Option 2:   If no icon mapping you to the server exists: Windows 2000 / XP

       Windows NT

1.  Right click the Network Neighborhood icon on your Desktop.

2.      Click Map Network Drive.

3.      A small window pops up with 2 fields on it:  ‘Drive’ and ‘Path’.

4.      Click the down arrow next to Drive and choose one of the letters from the list          
       (We recommend F: as a standard)

5.      Click in the box next to Path.

6.      Type in   \\ (name of server)\(name of server’s harddrive)  [Ex: \\Server\C ].

7.      Click OK

8.      Close the window that pops up showing you files and folders.

9.      Try opening ClinicPro again.

10.   If you still get sysparam error message, skip to Option 3 below

                                                    

       Windows 2000/XP

1.      Right click on My Computer.

2.      Select Map Network Drive.

3.      Click the down arrow next to Drive. Choose one of the letters from the list
       (We recommend F: as a standard)

4.      Click the Browse button.

5.      Click Entire Network

6.      Click Microsoft Windows Network

7.      Click the icon listed under Microsoft Windows Network. This will be the name of
       your network workgroup  [Ex: WORKGROUP ]

8.      Locate the server computer on the list and click it.

9.      Click the drive letter in which ClinicPro is installed on the server 
       (We recommend C: )

10.   Click OK

11.   Click in the box next to Reconnect at logon to put a checkmark in it.

12.   Click Finish

13.   Close the window that pops up showing you files and folders

14.   Try opening ClinicPro again

15.   If you still get sysparam error message, call the Support office.
